The recent Taekwondo KUP Grading held on Friday 27th June marked a proud day for our club, with all 15 participants successfully passing their respective assessments.
The grading was overseen by an experienced panel comprising Lorena Garcia (4th Dan) and Master Edward Garcia (7th Dan). The event showcased the dedication, discipline, and progress of each student across the ranks.
Of particular note, seven members were testing for their 2nd KUP, a significant step toward achieving their black belts. Each demonstrated strong technique, confidence, and a deepening understanding of Taekwondo principles.
From poomsae to sparring drills and self defence techniques, candidates were evaluated on a comprehensive skill set appropriate to their level. The panel praised the group’s preparation and spirit, noting how everyone stayed respectful, focused, and gave it their all from start to finish.
A special thank you goes to Master Ernest Garcia (7th Dan) and Lorena Garcia, who provided numerous additional training sessions in the lead up to the grading. Their guidance and support were instrumental in helping the candidates reach this milestone.
Congratulations to all who graded. Your success is a reflection of your hard work, resilience, and the supportive culture within the club.
