On Saturday 3rd June 2017, the Gibraltar Taekwondo Team participated at the Straits Games held in Los Barrios. Over 1,200 participants, representing 7 cities (Algeciras, La Linea, Los Barrios, Ceuta, Tarifa, San Roque and Gibraltar), participated at the event. A whole wide variety of sports enjoyed by all these young athletes and Taekwondo was one of them.
The Taekwondo event consisted of Poomsae (Patterns), Kyorugi (Sparring) and an Exhibition demonstrating self-defence & breakings. Each participating city was of very high standard and the Gibraltar Team did extremely well. We would like to thank the Gibraltar Taekwondo Team (Leland, Evan, Tyler, Nicole, Yaiza, Nayan, Charlie, Sebastian, Mateo, Yamila, Danielle and Leona ) for their excellent behaviour on the day and their commitment throughout the whole preparation phase.
