End of Season Awards were presented to recognize effort, progress, and dedication shown by students throughout the year. These awards went beyond skill alone. They highlighted the hard work and steady improvement that truly reflect the spirit of Taekwondo.

Students were nominated by the coaching team after being carefully observed during training. Coaches then discussed each nominee and made final decisions together. In total, five awards were given, recognising students who stood out through commitment, positive attitude, and personal growth.

Most Improved Student - Mikolaj Paczynski

The Most Improved Student award goes to Miki, whose growth over the past year has been nothing short of impressive. While Miki has always shown dedication since joining us in 2019, this year his improvement has been especially noticeable . His technical skills, focus, and confidence have all improved significantly, and it’s clear to see the effort he’s put in. We couldn’t be prouder of how far he has come. Keep up the fantastic effort Miki.

Best Technique - Kira Lopez

Our next award is for Best Technique, and it goes to Kira! Throughout the season Kira has demonstrated outstanding attention to detail and exceptional precision in every aspect of her training. Her sharp stances, clean strikes, and fluid movements make her a standout in poomsae and technical practice. Well done, Kira!

Best Self Defence - Duncan Stewart

The Best Self Defence award goes to Duncan! He has shown clear and consistent progress in his self-defence throughout the season, with improvements that have stood out during regular training. Most importantly, his performance during the black belt grading truly impressed the panel—demonstrating not only solid technique but also confidence, control, and effectiveness under pressure. Well done, Duncan!

Most Promising - Azrael Pozo

The Most Promising award goes to Azrael! This season, Azrael has taken his training to a new level, showing a real commitment to improving in all areas of Taekwondo. His progress has been clear—from technique to attitude—and he’s shown that he has all the attributes to become a great martial artist one day. Brave, focused when it counts, and always giving 100%, Azrael has stood out as someone to watch in the future. Keep it up, Azrael!

Best Student - Gabriel Benyunes & Josie Yome

Our final and most prestigious award is Best Student, and this year it is shared between two outstanding individuals—Gabriel & Josie. It was an incredibly difficult decision, with a third student, Kaison, also strongly in contention who narrowly missed out.

Gabriel, who has been training with us since 2021, continues to show outstanding focus and determination. He gives 100% in every session, always eager to learn and push himself further. His attitude is a great example to others, and his jumping kicks in particular have really impressed the coaches this season. Gabriel’s dedication and attitude is a great example to everyone in the club!

Josie has consistently demonstrated incredible dedication, always giving her maximum effort and pushing herself beyond her limits. Her progress since she started has been nothing short of remarkable, demonstrating not just skill but a mindset of resilience and growth. Josie sets a great example for everyone here. Let her achievement inspire all of us to train harder, stay committed, and keep pushing for improvement.

Congratulations once again to all the award winners for their outstanding commitment and achievements. As the season comes to a close, heartfelt thanks go to the entire coaching team for their guidance, encouragement, and dedication throughout the year. Their support has helped every student grow both on and off the mat, making this season one to be proud of. Here's to continued progress, shared success, and another year of learning ahead.
