Emergency First Aid Training

On Sunday 1st March, eight members of our coaching team completed a comprehensive five-hour Emergency First Aid course delivered by Emma Wood from Heart Starterz.

The course covered essential life saving skills including CPR, use of an AED (defibrillator), recovery position, choking response, and the treatment of bleeding, shock, sprains and fractures. The practical session ensured everyone gained hands-on experience and the confidence to act quickly and effectively in an emergency.

As a club, the safety and wellbeing of our members is always our top priority. Our coaching team includes both experienced instructors who coach week in, week out, as well as newer members who have recently begun their coaching journey. For everyone, maintaining up-to-date first aid training is a vital part of their development and responsibility as role models within the club. It ensures we provide a safe training environment and gives parents and students reassurance that they are in capable hands.

Duncan and Ethan, who are working towards their Assistant Coaching qualifications, and Frederick and Olga, who are progressing towards their Level 2 qualifications, are continuing to build their knowledge and experience as they develop further within the coaching team. We are incredibly proud of their commitment and dedication.

A big thank you to Emma Wood and Heart Starterz for delivering such a valuable and engaging course.
